Background

Justin L. Gordon carries forward a powerful legacy as a third-generation plaintiff's trial lawyer. His practice focuses on complex civil litigation, with particular emphasis on personal injury, discrimination, employment law, and insurance bad faith cases. At the heart of his work lies a commitment to combatting corporate malfeasance and insurance industry abuse.

Mr. Gordon's dedication to worker and consumer advocacy took root during his undergraduate years at California State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Labor Studies and Public Policy. As an officer of the Labor Studies Students Association and Teacher’s Assistant to the department Dean, he immersed himself in labor activism, participating in demonstrations and rallies that would shape his future legal career.

At the University of West Los Angeles School of Law, Mr. Gordon distinguished himself academically, earning multiple Witkin Awards for Academic Excellence. His scholarly work included research on strict products liability applications in residential pesticide use. Demonstrating his commitment to community service, he volunteered at the Los Angeles Superior Court's legal self-help center, providing vital assistance to underserved self-represented litigants.

After that, Mr. Gordon decided to further hone his skills; pursuit of legal excellence led him to Baylor Law School, where he was selected for the inaugural class of the nation's first Master of Laws program in Civil Litigation Strategy and Management. Graduating with an exceptional 3.87/4.0 GPA, he exemplifies the renowned rigor and skill that distinguishes Baylor-trained litigators.

Complementing his legal expertise, Mr. Gordon holds a Professional Certificate in Management from the University of Notre Dame's prestigious Mendoza College of Business, further enhancing his ability to navigate complex litigation and achieve optimal outcomes for his clients.

Personal Interests

Whether he's strumming his guitar, raising his voice in song, or cheering from the bleachers at a baseball game, he approaches life with genuine enthusiasm. As a licensed minister ordained to perform marriages in California, Mr. Gordon brings the same passion to his spiritual calling as he does to his diverse artistic interests. His greatest joy comes from the time spent with his wife and two children, creating memories that weave together the fabric of family life.

His taste in cinema spans the epic grandeur of "Lawrence of Arabia" to the gritty realism of "Hustle and Flow," with classics like "The Godfather" and "Casablanca" rounding out his favorites. On television, he gravitates toward compelling storytelling, from the wartime dramedy "M*A*S*H" to the intense character study of "The Punisher," and the mysterious allure of "LOST."

His musical interests reflect an eclectic spirit, embracing the raw energy of Henry Rollins, the soulful reggae-rock of Bradley Nowell, and the conscious lyricism of Talib Kweli. This appreciation extends to the improvisational genius of Jerry Garcia, the indie rock innovation of Isaac Brock, the jazz mastery of Miles Davis, the bluegrass pioneering of Bill Monroe, and the folk storytelling of Gill Landry.

As a devoted reader of Henry David Thoreau and a student of ancient Greek philosophy, Mr. Gordon's intellectual curiosity demonstrates his desire to explore life's deeper meanings through both contemporary and classical lenses.
