Justin L. Gordon is a third-generation plaintiff's trial lawyer. His practice focuses on complex civil litigation, with particular emphasis on personal injury, discrimination, employment, and insurance bad faith. The throughline of the work is the same in every matter: holding corporations and insurers accountable when they harm the people they are supposed to serve.
His path to the law began with labor and consumer advocacy. At California State University he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Labor Studies and Public Policy, served as an officer of the Labor Studies Students Association, and worked as a teaching assistant to the department dean. At the University of West Los Angeles School of Law he earned multiple Witkin Awards for Academic Excellence, researched strict products liability in residential pesticide use, and volunteered at the Los Angeles Superior Court's self-help center assisting self-represented litigants.
He then joined the inaugural class of the nation's first Master of Laws program in Civil Litigation Strategy and Management at Baylor Law School, a program built specifically for lawyers who try cases, graduating with a 3.87 GPA. He also holds a Professional Certificate in Management from the University of Notre Dame's Mendoza College of Business.
Away from the office, Mr. Gordon is a lifelong guitarist and songwriter, a reader of Thoreau and the Greek philosophers, and an ordained minister who officiates weddings in California. His time outside work is spent with his wife and two children.
